According to Coby’s website, Coby Kyros tablets come with a one-year warranty. All other Coby products have a 90 day warranty.
To obtain Warranty service, Customer must call Coby Technical Support at 800-727-3592 prior to making a Product Return. For TV or Netbook Support, please call 877-302-2629. Canadian residents may call 855-542-8917. All other inquiries, please call 800-727-3592. Customer must include with Product Return the following items: (i) a dated sales receipt that indicates the place of purchase, model number of Product, and amount paid; (ii) a detailed description of Customer’s problem with Product; (iii) Customer’s full name, phone number, and return address, and; (iv) a money order for the applicable dollar amount shown for the Product in the table below made out to Coby Electronics Corporation to cover return shipping charges to US destinations* only. COBY will not make return shipments to a P.O. Box. For shipping to international addresses, actual freight will be charged to Customer. Failure to enclose any of these items may delay the processing of your Warranty claim.
Coby’s warranty does not cover any product that has been subject to neglect, unreasonable use, accident, violation of the operating instructions, or any product that has been modified by you or an unauthorized service agent. Products out of warranty requiring service will be reviewed individually, but all will require the shipping and handling fee, which is $10 to $15 depending on screen size.
Amazon.com Returns Policy
According to Amazon’s website, “You may return any new computer purchased from Amazon.com that is ‘dead on arrival,’ arrives in damaged condition, or is still in unopened boxes, for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. Amazon.com reserves the right to test ‘dead on arrival’ returns and impose a customer fee equal to 15 percent of the product sales price if the customer misrepresents the condition of the product. Any returned computer that is damaged through customer misuse, is missing parts, or is in unsellable condition due to customer tampering will result in the customer being charged a higher restocking fee based on the condition of the product. Amazon.com will not accept returns of any desktop or notebook computer more than 30 days after you receive the shipment. New, used, and refurbished products purchased from Marketplace vendors are subject to the returns policy of the individual vendor.”
i purchased a coby kyros tablet from stoneberry last november 2011. without wifi iam unable to connect to any of my favorite spots such as you tube and others. i took it out of my wifi aptment, brought it back home and cant get wifi to reconnect. also i lost appslib in march. should i send my tablet back to stoneberry for an exchange or send it to your company to check out wats wrong. thank you for any reply that u can send me on this problem. i paid $219.99 and would hate to b out all that money not bein able to ever use it again. sincerely, patty masters
